There is truth to the saying, “If Momma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.” As a mother, I have come to the realization that the tone of our home is often set by me. It’s happened too many times to count. So much so that I’ve taken notice of it frequently. Sadly, it’s not often a good thing. If Momma responds in a harsh tone, I notice my husband’s tone follows suit… even if he was in a good mood. If Momma is stressed and short, my children’s words and actions mimic mine.
