We should spend the entirety of our days practicing when and how to “use our words.” What are we speaking about? Is it kind? Is it necessary and, if so, is it the appropriate time and place? Is it edifying or only personally gratifying? Are our words meant to wound or heal? Will it encourage and build up? Are they loving?
