When I was a kid, we used to play a game called “Telephone.” Someone would think of a message and whisper it in a friend’s ear. That person would pass it on by whispering what they heard to the next person. Finally, the last one to receive the message would relay the words heard out loud for all to hear. It was a funny game because, by the end, the original message had been outrageously distorted after being passed through so many.
